IMP Electronics Solutions began operating as an electronics manufacturer in Adelaide, Australia, in 1964 and established an Asian supply chain in 2003.
Originally wholly owned by Codan Ltd, the import division of business was purchased through a management buyout in December 2014. Currently, we employ 12 people in our Adelaide and Shenzhen offices.
We work with over 450 customers in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Korea, China and Singapore, including many well-recognised defence, medical and HVAC organisations to supply and source products.

We have a portfolio of trusted suppliers, so we can hand-select the right supplier for each customer. To ensure consistency for our customers, the same supplier is often then used for future orders.

Elio Franco
Joint Managing Director, IMP Electronics Solutions
With more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, quality assurance and management, co-owner and Managing Director Elio Franco is responsible for all Australian operations. His responsibilities include developing strategies, marketing and business plans.
Prior to his work with IMP Electronics Solutions (and Codan), and in addition to owning and operating other businesses, Elio worked for major manufacturing companies including Cummins Power Generation, Air International, Woodroffe Precision Metal Products, Henderson’s Automotive and Holdens.
Allan Zhang
Joint Managing Director, IMP Electronics Solutions
Allan manages the Shenzhen office of IMP Electronics Solutions, based in China. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining alliances with overseas partners and vendors.
Developing a portfolio of trusted suppliers means IMP can hand-select the right supplier for each customer and all projects and orders are managed on the ground. Allan has over 20 years’ experience in exporting and sourcing products which provide electronics solutions.
Prior to joining IMP in 2014, Allan developed vast experience in PCB manufacturing and supply chain management through various roles, most recently as Director of Prosource in Hong Kong and as Sales and Marketing Director of Uniwell at their printed circuit plant in Shenzhen, China.
